I took this photo of my best friend’s daughter, Lilley at her first birthday party! She is a doll baby! Big brown eyes, long eye lashes and those sweet little curls! Oh I love this little chick!

I’m still alive! I can’t believe the last time I posted on here it was Christmas photos! Wow. So much has happened since then.
1) We put our house on the market in February.
2) Two weeks later we found out we were expecting baby #3!
3) Four weeks later we sold our house.
4) Four weeks after that we relocated fromVirginia to North Carolina.
5) Two weeks later I started a new job.
6) Four weeks after that, I quit said job, found a new job and started orientation a couple days ago for my new job!
So needless to say, it’s been a crazy few months! We are loving being in North Carolina. I was finally able to find some time today to get out and shoot some new photos of the girls. We had a lot of fun despite the heat and the girls were cooperative for the most part! Here are some photos I have finished editing!
I have to take a deep breath when I look at this photo. My 7 year old, looking like she’s a teenager. Wow…she is growing up so fast!

And here’s my little sassy 3 1/2 year old!

And here’s one just for fun! Notice Annagrace’s little tooth sticking out. I think we may be taking a trip to the dentist to get that thing pulled out very soon!

I have lots of ideas rolling around in my head in regards to my photography business. I really want to get started up again down here in NC and first up is renaming my business and setting up a tax ID number here. Keep checking back for (hopefully!) more sessions soon and updates!
Thanks for stopping by!
Sometimes my children cooperate in front of the camera. Sometimes–not so much. I got them all dressed up today in their new Christmas dresses with big plans to get a nice photo of the two of them together. I did get some awesome photos of them apart. Here is my 6 year old, Annagrace:

And here is my wild three year old, Madalyn:

But the ones together, well they were a disaster. Here is how we started and it was all downhill from there. I’ll try again on Tuesday when they get all dressed up again for a party we are going to!

I’m hoping this didn’t get her on the naughty list this year! : )
Merry Christmas everyone! This will probably be my last post on my photography blog for this year. Thanks for everyone who visited the blog this year and thanks very very much to my friends and family who asked me to take photos of them and their loved ones! It’s been a blast! Can’t wait to see where 2009 takes my business!
What a nice treat on a cold, wet day. My canvas arrived! Last week I asked for everyone to tell me which photo they thought I should get printed for my new canvas. It was about almost half and half. A lot of people really liked the more candid one the best. However, after a lot of thought I decided to go with this one:
I really love it! I was surprised at how big it was–I was thinking it was the same size as the one I already had over the mantle but when I pulled it out of the box it blew me away! It’s huge but I love it!
I loved the other photo so much but I liked that I could see Annagrace’s face better in this one. But I think I’m going to have the other one printed in maybe an 11×14 or a 16×20 and hang it up their bedroom.
Thanks for giving me your feedback! And if anyone is interested in a beautiful peice of canvas art for their walls–give me a call!
I was working on the Lopez wedding pictures tonight and Madalyn came in the room, looked at the computer screen and said, “Mommy! They’re happily ever after!”. So sweet!
While editing, I came across this little gem:
Queue the music! I can hear, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” playing. Oh, no wait! Now it’s “Endless Love.” LOL! Love that photo SO much!
Sorry I don’t have more for tonight. My finger is becoming quite painful and I’m going to bed. It’s getting hard to type–horror of horrors if I can’t blog tomorrow! : )
Here are a few quick photos from a session from this afternoon! I met Myra several years ago at a Creative Memories retreat (she is the sister-in-law of my friend, Heather). Then when we moved four years ago I found out that her oldest daughter, Alannah, is best friends with our neighbor’s daughter. So I see her often at our neighbor’s Longaberger parties and birthday parties! She asked me a few months ago to take some Fall photos of her family and I think we got them taken just in time because the fall foliage is just about gone!
Her kids are absolutely adorable and were very well behaved! I learn a lot about kids when I take their photos. It didn’t take me long to pick up on the fact that Maran is the silly, somewhat sassy twin and Lauren is the more quiet one! But they were all great and were little troopers in the 50 degree weather!
So without further ado, here are a few sneak peek photos!
This one jumped out at me immediately! Of course, I’m always a fan of the more spontaneous photos!
And here is one with big brother, Zachary who is quite the gentleman and is very photogenic! I can’t wait to get the individual photos proofed–I got some great ones of that handsome boy!
And one more of the whole clan!
Myra and Paul–you have such a beautiful family! Thanks for asking me to take your family portraits and I hope you like them! I can’t wait to work on the rest of them!
Thanks for everyone’s two cents worth on my last post! After much thinking (and bugging Aaron about it) I decided on a photo for my canvas. When it comes, I’ll post a photo of it…so you’ll just have to wait and see which one I got! : ) I’m super excited!
Here is another photo from yesterday. Annagrace has always been a good model for me. I can always depend on her to sit still and smile for me although sometimes her smiles are pretty fake. This is a true honest to goodness Annagrace smile, dimples and all! (If Aaron had been with me I would have taken more time and would have made sure her hair was brushed!)
